You choose the accountant, bookkeeper or managed service provider that supports your Sovereign subscription. A change in that partner's relationship with Sovereign does not automatically assign you to someone else or give another firm access to your records.
Who bills you
Sovereign bills you directly for your Sovereign subscription, including when you enroll through a partner portal. A partner portal is a checkout interface for that subscription; your partner does not invoice or collect your subscription payment. Sovereign pays participating partners a commission under a separate partner agreement between Sovereign and the partner.
You pay Sovereign directly for the subscription; your partner does not owe Sovereign those subscription fees. Your subscription billing, cancellation and refund rights follow Section 5 of the Terms.
Your partner may separately charge you for bookkeeping, onboarding, advisory or managed services under its own disclosed terms. Those fees are your partner's own, are not part of the Sovereign subscription charge, and are not covered by Sovereign's subscription guarantee. Services you buy from your partner are governed by your partner's terms and may be affected when that relationship ends.
Canceling and refunds
You manage cancellation of your Sovereign subscription in your account management portal, including when you enrolled through a partner portal. A cancellation request made to your partner is not itself a completed cancellation. You request an eligible subscription refund directly from Sovereign at support@ownmybooks.com, under the guarantee in the Terms.
Each business's subscription is separate. Canceling one business's subscription cancels only that subscription; it does not cancel another business's subscription enrolled through the same partner, and it does not restart or extend another business's trial or refund window.
Your options and authorization
You may change or stop using a partner. Where Sovereign offers partner options and no local partner is available, the options may include remote partners, including AnyWay Tech, an MSP owned by Sovereign's owner. That relationship is disclosed wherever AnyWay Tech is offered. AnyWay Tech is not assigned automatically, and you remain free to choose another offered partner.
Sovereign will not give a replacement partner access to your records, or change who is billed, without your authorization and your acceptance of the new partner's commercial terms. Being listed, or being selected, does not by itself grant a partner access to your records or credentials. Each business must separately accept the Terms and separately authorize its own accounting connection and accounting writes.
Your right to cancel or manually disconnect remains available. Proportionate measures for unauthorized use, material security threats or unlawful activity can still apply.
This page explains the policy. It is not an individual notice about your account.
